Mastercam X2 can import Solidworks 2007 files directly when installed on a Windows XP computer. With the release of SolidWorks 2007, SolidWorks no longer supports Windows 2000. Mastercam uses a .DLL (SWDocumentMgr.DLL) that they provide us with in order to open their SLDPRT files. We will maintain 2 versions of this file - one to be installed on Windows 2000 computers and one to be installed on Windows XP computers. The version we install on the Windows 2000 computers will be an older version that only supports up to SolidWorks 2006. The version we install on the Windows XP computers will support SolidWorks 2007.

So in short, There is no support for SW 2007 and beyond in Mastercam X2 with Windows 2000.''
